Funding raising for capital projects. With over $200 million in projects over the next five years, the responsibility of raising and managing the capital to execute these projects rest largely on this role. Clear strengths needed for this role includes opportunity evaluation, financial modelling for development projects, cash flow forecast and management, scenario analysis, risk assessment and return analysis, and in-depth knowledge of financing structures with practical experience in their fundamentals and application.
Communication.Versatility with communication tools, financial and non-financial, needed to provide the investment outlook for projects to the different stakeholders within an investment play- from financial institutions to non-financial stakeholders. The candidate must have the resourcefulness in creating pitch documents, investment memoranda, board and management level grade reports, verbal communication, rigorous documentation, and proficiency in using targeted channels to communicate Group ideas to the diverse crowd this role will be dealing with.
Engagement.Strong emotional intelligence and competence to lead the multiple engagements with banks, other financial institutions such as pension funds, rating agencies, financial regulators, private investors, interest groups, partners, governmental and nongovernmental institutions, and other stakeholders in the financial community to secure financing and agreements for Group projects at competitive terms.
Management.The day to day grind of running businesses in a difficult clime. People management, vendor (onsite businesses) management, contractor management, development participation, operations supervision, oversee financial management and all the attention to detail that is required to ensure qualitative administration of the businesses to keep delivering value to the customer and society.
Preemptive. Updated market understanding, with ever increasing internalization of the impact of global and local issues on investments, to provide the board and management with incisive evaluation on new business opportunities, impact(s) to current investments, to chart an appropriate response by the Group. Developing and improving procedures and business operating practices to ensure excellence in service delivery, asset utilization and profitability. Extending the leverage over competition by innovation, effective use of resources and insightful forecast to pioneer services and product to the market.
Leadership and collaboration. Lead core team by providing exemplary leadership and level-headedness and providing direction to multiple non-team members in creating the synergy required for evaluating, executing, and managing business objectives. Fostering collaboration among other group department managers to maintain the diversity needed to achieve the Group’s business and operational goals. Taking an active interest in the development of team members and general competence of employees of the Group.
