Senior Accountant

Role: Senior Accountant
1. Core Responsibilities:
  1. Preparation of monthly and quarterly management account

  2. Preparation of annual financial statements

  3. Reviewing journals before they are posted

  4. Review of the general ledgers and trial balance on weekly basis to identify any mis-posting or irregularity for correction

  5. Preparation of Annual Budget

  6. Monthly monitoring of financial budget with in-depth variance analysis

  7. Ensure full tax and statutory compliance

  8. Provide support for both internal and external audit exercise and ensure that all audit requests are made available on timely basis

  9. Provide support in the preparation of Board report

  10. Offer financial advice as may be required from time to ensure adequate internal control, proper record keeping, good cashflow management and operational efficiency

  11. Other responsibilities as requested by the Line Manager.


2. Provide leadership and collaboration:

Provide exemplary leadership and level-headedness among team members. Fostering collaboration among other units to maintain the diversity needed to achieve the Group’s business and operational goals.


3. Be versatile:

Ability to handle multiple challenges across roles, department, and ideas. Support development efforts by working closely with other departments to determine more effective processes and tools and are carried out in line with Company Values

Requirements:
  • Detail-oriented
  • Worked at any of the “Big 4 Accounting Firms” (Senior 2 level) or real estate related industry
  • Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and related technologies
  • Ability to multitask and meet constant deadlines
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related course
  • Chartered accountant or in the process of concluding relevant professional exams
